mom’s paranoia

sleepless nights causes me an agonizing headache.. incessantly yawning.. my eyes teary.. oh! i’m so ready to drop dead in bed..

my son’s not a cry baby.. in fact, he’s the exact opposite.. he would just play inside his crib.. and just whimpers softly when he’ll ask for milk., or need to change his nappy..

i’m so blessed to have a good baby boy..

so why the sleepless nights?

i wanted to be with him when he’s awake.. or be around when he needs something.. whenever he asked for food, or already uncomfortable from his wet diaper..

i even have all sorts of paranoia.. what if he chokes or bumps his head when i am not around? what if insects crawl, or mosquitoes bite?

he still can’t talk., all he does is babble.. He calls out mama when he’s hungry, or sleepy.. and yells papa when he’s in the mood to play peek-a-boo, or wanted a game of wrestle, with his father., . but how would i know for sure what he means when he says bababa, gaga., ah-goo..? that would, of course, mean something.. i could only guess from the tone of his voice, and facial expression if he’s happy, hurt, or scared..

i even have this weird thought of my nightmares if my child’s kidnapped.. if wicked witches are true., and out to steal babies.. or in present reality, where bad people abducts children and sell them to white slavery, or merely for a murder.. or if TomCruise’s WarOfTheWorlds movie comes real..

maybe i’ve just seen too many movies, or news on TV., and even episodes of kidnapping crimes in Discovery Channel, or CSI..

Women and Shopping

A trip to the mall relaxes mind from stress. For most women shopping is one way to keep their minds off daily strains from home or work. Talk about finding a pretty blouse of your favorite shade, shoes that matches an old skirt in your closet, or grabbing the latest fad.

I love shopping but I couldn’t say I’m an expert shopper because I spend too much money on it. Others claim they’re good shoppers because they have fun doing it. They find satisfaction buying things they like, or want. But I think it’s most certainly a different idea of what an expert shopper is and should be. An expert shopper is one who loves to shop and knows the value of her money. Knowing where to get things worth their price.

Next to shopping, I love convenience. It’s the reason why I, not only often, but most of the time, shops at Glorietta, Rustan’s Ayala, and Greenbelt. Ayala is just a few blocks from where we live or a 1 5-minute drive. And it’s not crowded with people of sorts. Being familiar to the mall and the stores makes things easy. And it saves time making your route, especially on rush occasions like Christmas shopping. I can manage to shop while baby’s on the stroller. The stroller can be handy. You’ll have baby safe on it, and it carries your shopping bags, too. But always have your hands on the stroller and keep an eye on the baby every now and then.

Greenhills Shopping Centers could be best if your looking for some cheap buys. And the malls in Divisoria in Manila. But you can’t bring the baby in these places. It’s busy and clustered. You need to be on your comfortable clothes and keep watch on your things. Crowded places are easy access to thieves and pick-pocketers.

The online shops could be great. You don’t need to go anywhere, except for some with payment systems that needs to be done in banks. I haven’t had first hand experience on shopping online for clothes yet. I preferred the conventional way, and that is going to the stores personally. But I often do window shopping online though.

Play Ball

dribble, pass,. bounce bounce bounce..

there goes the ball..

my almost 11-month old son loves to play ball.. since he started standing on his own he would screech at us for a game of toss and pass whenever he sees a ball..

i had this conversation with my mother on the phone telling her that i am tired of picking balls on the floor, or under the bed. she said, should encourage the child on things he wanted and loves to do..

i think its too early to think of my son’s future career.. but it left me into thinking.. He loves ball., will he be a basketball player? or a football player? he also likes to babble and prattle, and likes books, too., will he be a lawyer? and how about, wanting to reach for the computer keyboard., will he be an engineer like his father., or maybe, like me..? what will he be? a doctor., a priest maybe., or a soldier?

yes, right! it’s yet so early.. guess, we should just enjoy him for now. our little baby..

whatever he’ll become, we’ll always love him.. it’ll be his choice, it’ll be his life.. his happiness.. and that’s most important.. for him to be happy and grow-up a good person..

time out.. he’s up.. will play ball now..
