Family Escapade Philippines
I was thinking of an activity for my 2 year old son. He’s already in toddler school. But I needed something to keep him busy and interested other than that. A sport would be great, or Art class, and there’s Music class, too. There’s a lot to choose from.
He’s supposed to begin his swimming class last week but due to bad weather I decided not to take him outside.
We got him listed at Bert Lozada Swim School. The BLSS is the only institution in the Philippines with expert instructors, a trademarked program, and a child friendly environment to enhance your child’s learning experience. BLSS is a member of the United States Swim School Association, and some teachers are certified by the Australian Council for the Teaching of Swimming and Water Safety. BLSS was founded by a famous name in Swim School, Mr. Bert Lozada, since 1966.
This 20th of September, BLSS presents Family Escapade. I knew of the activity some weeks ago because Animomedia’s one of the partner-sponsors. But we became so busy that it slipped off my mind and I forgot to post an article about it. Well, if interested you could go check them out now! It’s fun, educational, and FREE. But a pre-registration is a MUST.
There would be talks for parents, FREE swimming lessons, pool games, cooking demo, arts and crafts, magic shows, face painting, and so much more.
Lets make our kids safe and responsible, teach them to love swimming and be comfortable around the water. Thus they could develop other skills, and bring out their confidence to excel in whatever activity they would be interested. Making sure your child understands water safety is responsible parenting. Pushing them on sporty activities and physical fitness, such as swimming, is healthy.

I love to swim, and am looking forward to when I can take my baby swimming too :] I grew up on a beach and then moved to a place with a beautiful river & waterfall behind it, so swimming is kind of in my blood. It’s a great activity!
@Tatiana: a river and a waterfall at the backyard is a wonderful playground.. when i was a kid I always daydream of waterfalls and mermaids..:)

That’s good for your son, I’m actually thinking of an outdoor activities for my daughter as well.
I really share some of your opinions i think.
It’s not all about swimming in my opinion, but any outdoor activity will do. I plan to take my 3 year old son skiing this winter. Most people(and i guess you as well) think that’s way too soon, but i really think he will get a great balance.
Kindly regards
André
@Macy: swimming and ball games are great outdoor activities for kids.
@Andreas: yes you’re right any outdoor activity., there are a lot to choose from. and skiing for a three-year-old, wow., that will be scary.. but if you know what you’re doing and take extra extra care and safety measures..
For some reasons kids love swimming.I guess swimming is a great activity for the terrible twos.
swimming is great for your body, no stress on your joints

I want to learn my kids to sport as much as they can. Sport is what makes is healthy. Also you can live much more by sporting. I bet everyone wants to look good and health but not a lot of people have the faith to do it.
i agree… all parents should get their kids into sports.. its good exercise and helps kids become more social than sitting on computer all day like me.. lol
My kids will be doing as much sport as possible. Sport is a vitality not an option in my opinion.
Thanks for this information, my kids will be doing as much sport.
I agree…Children should get as much exercise as possible, and swimming is so much fun! Teaching them to love swimming and be comfortable around the water is a must!
Swimming is not only excellent exercise, it builds characther.
I was training very hard football when I was kid, I now have a lot of injuries that hurt me everyday. Dont train too much like me. When you are older you will understand me.
