Itsy Bitsy Spider
The eensy weensy spider
Crawled up the water spout
Down came the rain
And washed the spider out
Out came the sun
And dried up all the rain
And the eensy weensy spider
Crawled up the spout again.
New Verse:
The itsy-bitsy spider
Stuck out two spinnerets
Out came a web
made-up of tiny threads
Along came the wind
That blew so far away
Where the itsy-bitsy spider found
A brand new place to play!
I would say the Itsy-Bitsy-Spider’s one of the classics. I remembered loving and singing this song, when I was young, every time it rains. After me and my younger siblings scream the Rain, Rain Go Away song. We used The-ITSY-BITSY Spider on the first verse, not EENSY-WEENSY. (I came across the second verse from the US-National Institutes of Health, Department of Health, & Human Services’ website for children.)
Now my son would not stop bugging me to sing the song over and over again whenever i started. He would force my hands to do the itsy bitsy thingy action.
