July 18: Earthquake in the Philippines

Bringing paranoia to others is not an act of kindness. Fraud emails and text messages are popular nowadays. Do they bring sincere warnings?

I was undeniably concerned with a forwarded text message we received. The text message was to forewarn us of a great earthquake that would kill many people in the Philippines. The said earthquake would hit the country at a magnitude of 8.1 on July 18, 2008.

A certain JUSELEENO NOBULEGA DaROOSE (or Jucelino Nobrega da Luz) was said to have predicted the earthquake. He is a Brazilian teacher who had many predictions came true. I’m not sure how many did not. Besides, his predictions are written in his language, or maybe poorly in English. I don’t know him personally, so I am not to judge him. But the stories have been circulating and it raises, not only interest, but apprehensions and paranoia. Also I’ve check on his website, that was translated by another person in English, and there is no prediction of earthquake in the Philippines. There were about the Feb and June 2008 Big Floods . These are all but vague forecasts.

It’s his word and his visions against science. Local News say PHILVOCS gave out a statement saying there’s no truth to the messages that were passing around. No Earthquake on July 18th, I think this what matters the most.

Planet Earth is one ambiguous round shape spinning about the Sun. And what goes with it’s ambiguity is human behavior and interaction. We are species of great power, that is to think for ourselves. We are equipped with logic. Thus to make decisions and actions for humankind amelioration, I supposed. But the aberration of mankind does not solely characterized on the physical aspect. Some people think strange. And talk nonsense, enough to give the masses a scare.

    well, only GOD knows on what will happen in the future. DAROOSE is not a GOD so he has no rights to predict on what will happen on the future. but anyways, as long as our faith is within us. we will just pray that the ALMIGHTY GOD will save us from any danger and calamities that might come. And also it is better to be prepared than being late!!!!

    What DAROOSE said might be a rumor or a warning. Only GOD knows!!! lets not forget that with GOD everything is possible….

    and also im thinking of the credibility of this person named DAROOSE. because anyone and everyone can claim that HE/SHE predicted something that happens in the past like what DAROOSE did. because he said that he predicted the 9/11 terrorist attack and princess diana’s death. but no one can prove that He really predict those things…..

    we are not born from the past!!! we are born in this year of new technologies!!! its up to you to judge…..

Because past 2 days ago there was a earthqauke within this region which was involved within indo-australia plate and philipine plate. Each and every hour there is micro earthquake are happening. And i am not sure about the person name DAROOSE. And i am not in position to judge him. Let we save those poeple which is working in Philipine on big and tall building to take some precaution.     You are Welcome Daniel’s Mom.Yes you are right.I am not sure on the magnitude.I just was wondering if the Mobile SMS system have some alert on Earthquake, that would be save alot of poeple during the Tsunami 2004.We can run away from disaster atleast can alert those people plannig a trip to beach.We all can pray together to over come this.When i was doing some analysis the all major 12 plate’s are related to the earthquake its is related to each other and this last 4days there is a Micro earthquake on Taiwan Region,Fiji Region,Philipine Region,Indonesia Region,Japan Region,Timor Region and Rat Island Australia Region’s. Let we all just take a 5minutes prayer after reading this and on our daily prayer to prevent from this to happen.Is that can be due to any Volcano behavior at that region.     People are really spooked because three minor quakes have already occured days before the predicted July 18 8.1 magnitude earthquake of a certain Juseelino Nobrega Daroose in this lengthy chain e-mail that has been circulating lately.

    According to it, this so-called psychic’s predictions for 2008 are as follows:

    2008
    - Will find the medicine for AIDS and Dengue
    - 18th July, Philippine will get 8.1 earthquake, thousands people will die

    Following the advice of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, I researched if this person truly exists, and he does. He is said to have predicted many big world events.
    However, whether or not this guy can predict the future, I don’t care. I don’t even believe in such things.The issue right now is that this guy Mr. Jucelino Nobrega Da Luz (misspelled:Juseeleno Nobrega Daroose) DID NOT EVEN PREDICT THE JULY 18 EARTHQUAKE IN THE PHILIPPINES.

    Here is the true list of his prophecies for the year 2008:

    60- Conflicts of homeless will mark in the south of Brazil and invasions and protests everywhere;

    61- Strong Typhoons hit Japan resulting in big disruption and many deaths;

    62- Australia is hit by a strong cyclone and there are many problems, leaving homeless;

    63- Chile will be hit by a Earthquake of 6.9 in Richter scale and São Paulo feel the tremor;

    64- Big floods hit France, Germany and Moldavia leaving thousands of homeless and deaths;

    65- Increase the conflicts in Turkey and combats everywhere against the Kurds (next to Iraq);

    66- Bombing kill more than 100 people in north of Iraq;

    67- Revolt and conflicts in Algeria (Africa) mark blood in the country. An earthquake of 7.1 hit the capital;

    68- Increase the consume in Japan of 4.2% and the economic speed up;

    69- A small earthquake of 3.1 is observed in the region of the Amazon;

    Yes, ladies and gentlemen, the thing about the July 18 earthquake is not even there. Somebody got wind of information about this guy, inserted the Philippines in the list of prophecies, and spread the e-mail.

    It’s like, haha, let’s make a prank, let’s pick a random country, how about the Philippines?The people there are big internet fans.

    So, Mr. Da Luz DOES make predictions, but he didn’t say anything about July 18.

    I don’t know much about this person, but I think he’s real. Try to search him on the net, he’s real. However, I don’t think if his premonition about the earthquake hitting the Phils July 18 is true. It may be just some scam made by someone using Jucelino’s name. Along with that vision, a lot more disasters will happen soon all over the world.

If you’ve read my post, i had his site linked., and if we’ll go over the list, you wont find Earthquake in the Phils., well, we have a crazy world., Some people twist and turn things up., and that’s just it.. but then we can chose to be not as crazy as them.. Like even to any other circumstances., we should think first before we react.. seers may not be bad people., but to those circulating false stories, may they be satisfied with their shallow happiness..
