I am not a fan of Eminem. But he was so popular then and they kept playing his songs. I can’t help but listened to this particular song. I never heard of the Mockingbird Song when I was a kid, or maybe not that I could remember. But when I heard him singing Hush Little Baby, The Mockingbird Song, for his daughter I knew that it’s a children song. It was in 2004 when this song hit the charts. But it was only later, when I had my baby, that I’ve searched through the internet and found the original lyrics.

There were also notes that some changed the “Mama’s going to buy you..” phrase into “Mama’s going to show you..” instead. Well they said not to spoil your child from buying things. Then, I guess, we’ll just have to show them things rather.
