Paper Dolls
As a kid, me and my younger siblings were contented inside the house. We would just play by ourselves and our toys. Sometimes we ride our bikes around the lawn, or play catch, ball, and hide-n-seek. Dance in the rain if it pours. But most of the time we just stay inside. To some kids it might be boring, we don’t feel like that. There are a lot of ways to keep ourselves busy. I love to read books. My younger sister loves coloring books, and Barbie dolls. And my brother would play with his action figures.
Games and toys sustained us. But what could be more exciting than creating our own toys. Making our own dolls and clothed them. It was yet difficult for us to sew. But paper, scissors, and coloring stuff make it more fun.
You can use pieces of cloths, beads and sequences. And there are different types of paper, too. Such as colorful art papers, Japanese paper, crepe papers, and felt paper.
You just have to draw your doll in board and cut it out. Make your dolls fashionable by designing the clothes with stylish colors and printed paper. Gift wrappers will do.
I was browsing over the internet and i found sites we could just download designs and patterns of paper dolls. There are ready made cut-out patterns of animals, houses, buildings, cars, airplanes and a lot more at PaperToys. These are also print-cut-fold-tape dolls at paperfoldables.com. All you need to do is to go check the website. Print what interest you. Then cut along the solid lines. Fold on dotted lines. Then tape tabs on the inside. It’s so easy. Your kids will love it.
